Recorded with a flurry of ideas in June of 2014 at my home in Hudson (NY) and conceived during my cousin Dan’s at Pine Creek in the mountains outside of Williamsport, PA in May. This album serves both as a dedication to Dan and his new bride Sprite – and as a statement about what it is to be happy in life….lessons learned from Eric Holtry.
A huge thanks to my longtime collaborator Joe Houpert for his contributions to this album – you will hear his violin on the tracks that bookend this album…and to Erich Steiger, an old friend and powerfully consistent mastering engineer whose name you will find on the bulk of my recorded work. And a fine guitarist to boot.
“There is a fine sense of melancholy and minimalism in this album, some beautifully textured music sitting next to some more abstract forms there of and it makes an excellent album all around.”
